Constipation

1) Massage each of the Tian-shu points (Figure below) for 3 minutes before bed and before getting up in the morning followed by massaging the lower abdomen for 2 to 3 minutes using both hands (clockwise). Doing so can increase the peristaltic movement of the large intestine and break up the feces inside for easier excretion. This is a very effective way to relieve constipation.

2) Press the He-gu (Figure below) points with both hands with some force and with your mind concentrating on the pressing for a few minutes. This action will move the large intestine, and a lot of times, bring you an immediate result.

3) Abdomen pushing and belt vessel knocking. Lying on the bed, using both hands, press on the abdomen and slide down from the chest all the way down below the belly button. Do it for 5 minutes each time. The belt vessel is around the waistline, so lying on the bed and using both fists, knock on both sides of the waist (the love handles) 300 times. The pressure and force used should be added little by little, always based on your personal comfort level. Do these actions once in the night and once in the morning.
